Food cold chain is not the pharmacy cold chain
Vaccines answer to WHO-PQS and pharmacy answers to TMDA. Food and agriculture answer to a different authority — the Tanzania Bureau of Standards — and to a buyer who rejects a load on arrival if the chill was not held. The commodity is different too: milk, fish, meat and produce each spoil their own way, at their own band. The chamber rose above its safe band
This is the excursion that spoils a batch — a compressor that failed overnight, a door left open, a power cut that outlasted the reserve. For food, above-band is the failure everyone pictures.
Temperature crosses above the band you configured for that commodity and stays there past the excursion hold.

The chill turned into a freeze
The failure food operators forget. Milk, some produce and fresh fish are damaged by freezing as surely as by warming — a chiller stuck on is not a safe chiller.

The record has a gap
For food, the missing reading is itself the problem. A buyer or an inspector who sees an unexplained gap in the log treats the whole consignment as unproven — so a silent probe has to raise an alarm in its own right.

What to expect
- Trakora monitors and evidences temperature; it is not a certified food-safety authority and does not certify your product, grant a TBS mark, or replace an inspection. It gives you the record — the certification is between you and the regulator.
- The safe band is yours to set to your commodity and your standard. This page shows — for it deliberately, rather than print a range that would be wrong for a different food.
- The module monitors and charts humidity, but ships no humidity alarm — humidity is shown for context, not raised as a threshold event.
- Alarms travel over GSM. In a dead zone, readings buffer and backfill when coverage returns; an excursion raised offline is delivered on reconnection with its original timestamp.
- The evidence trail proves the chain you monitored. It cannot vouch for a chamber, a leg or a period that was never instrumented.

Can I use it for both a cold room and a reefer truck?
Yes — a chamber is a chamber, whether it is a fixed cold room, a chilled tank or a reefer. Each monitored space is one sensor, priced per sensor per month.
What do I show a buyer or an exporter's auditor?
The compliance PDF per chamber — a continuous temperature log with any excursions marked and timed. It is the evidence that the chill held for the consignment they are questioning.
