- Read reliability varies with what is being moved — metal and liquids can shadow or detune a tag, so a real deployment is tuned to the stock and the doorway, not assumed.
- The gate is a control and an alert, not a physical barrier. It complements a gate-pass process and a guard; it does not lock the door or stop a determined removal on its own.
- An unscanned-egress is an exception to investigate, not a proven theft. It flags a mismatch between the door and the document so a person can resolve it.

Why can't my ERP do this?
