Plans, payments, M-Pesa, Pesapal
This article covers the Trakora trial, the four plans, payment methods accepted, TRA-EFD invoicing, and cancellation.
1. Free trial
Every new workspace gets a 30-day full-feature trial. No card, no commitment. The trial covers up to 5 devices and 1 location. Existing customers adding a new module get a 14-day trial of that module.
2. Plans
- Solo — TZS 8,000 / month. 1 device. Personal/boda owners.
- Starter — TZS 35,000 / month. Up to 10 devices. Small fleets, single-shop retailers, family safety.
- Business — TZS 150,000 / month. Up to 50 devices, RFID, sensors, multi-branch. Most SMEs.
- Pro — TZS 500,000 / month. Up to 250 devices, full API, white-label, priority support.
- Enterprise — custom. 250+ devices, single tenancy, on-prem option, MoH/regulator integrations.
Add-ons (per month):
- Extra device beyond plan limit — TZS 1,500 each
- Extra sensor (BLE temp probe, contact sensor) — TZS 800 each
- Extra user beyond plan limit — TZS 5,000 each
3. Payment methods
- M-Pesa via Pesapal — direct push from the dashboard. Confirmation within ~5 seconds.
- Tigo Pesa and Airtel Money — also via Pesapal.
- Bank transfer (CRDB, NMB, NBC, Stanbic) — invoice-based, 7-day grace.
- Card (Visa, Mastercard) via Pesapal — accepts Tanzanian and foreign cards.
4. M-Pesa flow
- Billing → Pay now.
- Pick M-Pesa and confirm the phone number.
- Push notification on your phone — enter your M-Pesa PIN.
- Trakora marks the invoice paid as soon as Pesapal confirms (usually <5 s).
Failed pushes can be retried; you are not charged until the PIN is entered.
5. TRA-EFD invoicing (VAT)
Every paid invoice issues a TRA-compliant fiscal receipt via the linked EFD. The fiscal number, date, and CO QR code appear on:
- The dashboard invoice (downloadable as PDF)
- The email receipt
- The WhatsApp receipt (if subscribed)
VAT is charged at 18 % unless you provide a valid VRN exemption certificate (upload at Billing → Tax).
6. Cancel
You can cancel at any time at Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Data remains accessible for 90 days after cancellation as read-only; export anything you need before then via the Export your data guide.
