Create a Trakora account
You can create an account in under 2 minutes. This guide walks the signup, verification, 2FA, and workspace creation steps.
1. Sign up
- Visit app.trakora.co.tz/register.
- Enter your full name, email, phone number (Tanzania format
+255...), and a strong password. - Choose your role hint — Owner, Operations Manager, IT, Other. This only personalises the dashboard.
- Read and accept the Terms and Privacy Notice.
- Click Create account.
2. Verify your email
Trakora sends a verification email within 30 seconds. Click the link inside. The link expires in 24 hours — if you miss it, sign in and tap Resend verification.
If the email never arrives:
- Check spam.
- Confirm the spelling of your address in Profile.
- WhatsApp us with the address; we can verify manually.
3. Verify your phone
After email verification you'll receive an SMS with a 6-digit OTP. Enter it. Phone-verified accounts can use SMS-fallback alerts and the Driver app.
4. Set up 2FA (recommended)
Go to Profile → Security → Enable 2FA. Pick:
- Authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password) — strongest.
- SMS — convenient but weaker.
Save the recovery codes somewhere safe; you need them if you lose your phone.
5. Create your workspace
A workspace is your business — its devices, users, and data. On first login Trakora prompts you to create one:
- Workspace name — your business name (Mwanga Logistics).
- Industry — Trakora pre-loads sensible defaults per industry (fleet, retail, cold chain, etc.).
- Country / time zone — defaults to Tanzania, EAT (UTC+3).
- Currency — TZS by default.
You can create additional workspaces later (e.g. for separate legal entities).
6. Invite your team
Skip to Users, roles, and permissions once your workspace is up.
