Asset management software cost in Tanzania
Asset tracking from Trakora does not carry a fixed list price, because a filing cabinet of laptops and a yard of generators are not the same job. Cost is scoped to what you track and how — tags, GPS, sites and users — then quoted in Tanzanian shillings, paid by M-Pesa with a VAT invoice.
Priced in TZS, scoped per deployment. No list price is invented here — figures render — until they are quoted to your operation.

Scoping, subscribing and renewing
Because there is no shelf price, the first step is a short scoping conversation. After that, billing runs on Tanzanian mobile money and card, in TZS.
Scope your register
Tell us how many assets you track, whether they are tagged, carry a barcode or QR, or need a GPS unit, and how many sites and users. That sets the quote.
Get a written quote in TZS
You receive a quote in whole Tanzanian shillings with the plan, any hardware and the install spelled out — nothing implied and no invented list price.
Approve the first payment
You get a USSD push on M-Pesa, Airtel Money or Mixx by Yas and enter your PIN, or you pay by card. A VAT invoice is issued in TZS.
Renew each cycle with a fresh approval
Before the cycle ends you get a reminder and a fresh USSD push to approve. The subscription record lives in Trakora; the payment is a new approval you make each time.
No silent auto-debit on mobile money
Tanzanian mobile money requires you to approve every charge with your PIN, so there is no card-on-file that quietly debits you each cycle. Trakora reminds you and pushes a fresh approval instead. Card payment may support saved tokens for true auto-renew — that is confirmed per account, not assumed here.

Tags and trackers, quoted per deployment
Assets are identified either by a low-cost tag or, for high-value plant, by a GPS tracker. No tag or tracker price is published on this page — every cell reads — and points to the hardware catalog, never a guess.
| Hardware | Price | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Barcode / QR asset tags | — | Low-cost labels for check-in / out; quoted per batch |
| RFID / NFC tags & reader | — | Faster scanning for large registers; quoted per deployment |
| GPS tracker (plant & generators) | — | For high-value movable assets; device prices on the hardware page‡ |
| Tagging & onboarding | — | Labelling and register set-up; quoted per site |

Frequently asked questions
How much does asset management software cost in Tanzania?
There is no single list price, so it is not printed here as a number we would have to invent. Cost is scoped to your register — how many assets, the tag type, the number of sites and users — and quoted in TZS with a VAT invoice. Send us those details and we put the figure in writing.
Why is the price shown as a dash?
Because publishing a made-up figure would be worse than showing none. Where a price is not sourced, this page renders — and asks you to request a quote, rather than guess. The number you get back is real and in writing.
Do I need GPS on every asset?
No. Most assets are tracked by a barcode, QR or RFID tag scanned at check-in and check-out, which is far cheaper than a GPS unit. GPS is for high-value movable plant — generators, compressors — where asset_out_of_zone should fire if the item leaves its site. You mix the two.
Which payment methods can I use, and is there a VAT invoice?
M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Mixx by Yas, and card — all in Tanzanian shillings. A VAT invoice is issued in TZS with VAT charged per Tanzanian law.
Will I be auto-debited each cycle?
Not on mobile money. Tanzanian mobile money requires you to approve every charge with your PIN, so Trakora sends a reminder and a fresh USSD push each cycle rather than debiting a card on file. Card payment may support a saved token for true auto-renew, confirmed per account.
Do you have a plan for NGOs?
Yes — donor-audit registers, book-to-floor verification and multi-site tracking are scoped under Institutional & Enterprise. See the NGO asset tracking page for how the audit workflow works.
