Vehicle tracking pricing

Vehicle tracking pricing in Tanzanian shillings

Vehicle tracking from Trakora is a one-off device fitted in Dar es Salaam plus a per-device monthly subscription, all quoted and billed in Tanzanian shillings. Device prices are published; the monthly subscription is scoped to your fleet size and quoted, because a single pickup and a fifty-truck operation are not the same price.

Priced in TZS. Device once, subscription per device per month. Renewal is a fresh mobile-money approval each cycle — never a silent auto-debit.

Talk to sales

The monthly per-device subscription is rendered because no fixed per-device figure is published to source here — it is quoted to your fleet size and confirmed in writing, never invented on this page. Whether the VAT fiscal receipt is issued by the payment provider or by Trakora's own fiscal call is still being confirmed, so no fiscal-receipt claim is stated as settled.

How billing works

Subscribing and renewing, honestly

Payments run on Tanzanian mobile money and card, in TZS. There is one thing worth being clear about up front: renewal.

  1. Choose the device and quantity

Pick the device that suits the vehicle and how many you are fitting. The device is a one-off, published price; the subscription is quoted to the fleet.

  2. Approve the first payment

You get a USSD push on M-Pesa, Airtel Money or Mixx by Yas and enter your PIN, or you pay by card. The charge is in whole TZS.

  3. Get fitted and go live

A technician fits the unit in Dar es Salaam and the vehicle appears on your live map, usually within 5 minutes of power-up.

  4. Renew each cycle with a fresh approval

Before the cycle ends you get a renewal reminder and a fresh USSD push to approve. The subscription record lives in Trakora; the payment is a new approval you make each time.

No silent auto-debit on mobile money

Tanzanian mobile money requires you to approve every charge with your PIN, so there is no card-on-file that quietly debits you each month. Trakora reminds you and pushes a fresh approval instead. Card payment may support saved tokens for true auto-renew — that is confirmed per account, not assumed here.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does vehicle tracking cost per month?

The monthly figure is a per-device subscription quoted to your fleet size, so it is not printed here as a single number we would have to invent. The device is a one-off: TZS 95,000 for a GT06N or TZS 180,000 for an FMB920, fitted. Ask and we put the monthly figure in writing.

Will I be auto-debited every month?

Not on mobile money. Tanzanian mobile money requires you to approve every charge with your PIN, so Trakora sends a renewal reminder and a fresh USSD push each cycle rather than debiting a card on file. Card payment may support a saved token for true auto-renew, confirmed per account.

Which payment methods can I use?

M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Mixx by Yas, and card — all in Tanzanian shillings. A VAT invoice is issued in TZS.

Is the device price a one-off or monthly?

One-off. You buy the device once, fitted, and then pay the monthly subscription per device. The SIM is a small monthly cost — TZS 5,000 on a Vodacom M2M line.

Do you give a discount for a whole fleet?

Volume device and subscription terms are scoped under Fleet & Enterprise. Tell us how many vehicles and where they run and we will quote it.

Is VAT included, and do I get a fiscal receipt?

Prices are quoted in TZS and a VAT invoice is issued. The exact fiscal-receipt path is being confirmed with the payment provider, so we will not overstate it — it is settled per account before any charge.
