Export your data
You own your data. Trakora lets you export from every module — manually as CSV/XLSX/PDF, or programmatically via the API. This guide is the export map.
1. Per-module exports
Each module's report screen has an Export button. The output formats:

2. Bulk workspace export
For backups or migrations:
- Admin → Data → Workspace export.
- Pick what to include — devices, positions, sales, sensor readings, users.
- Pick a date range. Maximum 12 months per export.
- Submit. Trakora prepares a ZIP and emails a download link in 5–60 minutes (size-dependent).
The link is valid for 7 days; the ZIP is encrypted with a password you set.
3. API exports
For repeated or automated exports use the API:

4. Retention policy
- Live operational data — retained 12 months at full resolution.
- Aggregates (daily/weekly summaries) — retained 5 years.
- Compliance records (TRA-EFD invoices, MoH excursion logs) — retained 10 years per regulation.
- Deleted workspaces — purged 90 days after cancellation.
If you need data older than 12 months at full resolution, export periodically — we don't keep it forever.
5. GDPR / data subject requests
Tanzanian regulation does not yet require a GDPR-style portal, but Trakora honours data subject requests on best-effort: Admin → Data → Subject request lets a user export everything we hold about them, or delete their personal data.
