Warehouse
Trakora Warehouse runs an entire DC on a Chainway handheld and a couple of fixed gate readers. This guide covers the four core flows: receive, putaway, pick, cycle-count.
1. Receive a PO
- Driver arrives. Security scans the gate-pass; Trakora flags the PO as at gate.
- Warehouse → Receive → Pick PO.
- Open cartons. Scan UHF tags or barcodes with the C66.
- Trakora reconciles received vs ordered live. Discrepancies (over-ship, short-ship, damaged) are flagged on screen with photo capture.
- Confirm. The supplier and finance get an automatic receipt note.
2. Putaway
After receiving, Trakora suggests a putaway location based on velocity (ABC class), zone (ambient, cold, secure), and current capacity.
- Handheld lights up Take to A-12-04.
- Drive the pallet there.
- Scan the bin tag and the pallet tag — Trakora confirms the bond.
- Move on to the next pallet.
3. Pick
Three picking modes:
- Single-order — one cart, one order, walk the pick path Trakora computes.
- Batch — up to 6 orders on one cart, sorted into totes by colour at the pick face.
- Wave — waves released by the supervisor for time-window urgency.
The handheld guides the picker bin-by-bin. RFID confirms the right SKU rather than a look-alike.
4. Cycle-count
ABC-driven:
- A-class items (top 20 % of value) — cycle every 30 days.
- B-class — every 90 days.
- C-class — every 180 days.
A counter sweeps an aisle with the C66 in batch mode (see the C66 guide). Trakora reconciles in real time and flags drift > 1 unit. Approved corrections write to inventory and to your ERP.
5. Zone and bin design
- Number aisles A, B, C from the goods-in door.
- Bins read A-12-04 = aisle A, bay 12, level 04.
- Reserve G-zone for goods-in staging and D-zone for dispatch staging.
- Cold zone = C-zone, secure zone = S-zone, returns = R-zone.
6. Daily reconciliation
At day-end the supervisor approves all open exceptions. Reconciled stock pushes to your ERP via webhook (default) or REST. See API access for the webhook contract.
